Introductory Thoughts
Undoubtedly, the pandemic we are facing is a desperate alarm signal for humanity and a crossroads. It serves as an alarm signal because the human community has, with gross unawareness, defiled its table of values, leading to dramatic levels of spiritual and moral decline. In short, we are experiencing a spiritual emergency of the highest urgency, making the ostrich policy and indolent procrastinations no longer acceptable.
And yet, man is a vigilant being, as stated by one of our greatest. Therefore, any constructive gesture, no matter how small, that can bring good news is welcome.
This volume, the 19th in its series, compiles several studies that cannot be ensconced within the ivory tower of academic science. Some of these works were presented at the Annual Conference of the European Transpersonal Psychology Association, organized online in 2020 by the French Transpersonal Association. Hence, in the title, I have respected the theme of the mentioned scientific event, even though some of the articles here do not explicitly fall under the addressed theme. The common thread that brought them together is likely the proximity to the mystery or the desire to encounter it. Certainly, we hope this volume will help you, the insomniac partners of knowledge, to repatriate your soul to a better normality.
