These days, the European Association of Transpersonal Psychology is hosting the renowned Prof. Harris L. Friedman, PhD, who will hold a public lecture at the West University of Timișoara, as well as a workshop dedicated exclusively to psychology professionals.
👥 The workshop titled “Scientifically Validated Interventions in Transpersonal Psychology” is aimed at psychologists, psychotherapists, researchers, and other mental health professionals interested in the scientific applicability of transpersonal methods in contemporary practice.

👤 About Harris L. Friedman:
Harris L. Friedman is a research professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Florida, currently affiliated part-time with several universities, where he supervises doctoral theses and mentors faculty as an expert in research methods.
He earned his PhD in clinical psychology with a concentration in transpersonal psychology and a secondary specialization in sociology from Georgia State University. He holds applied board certifications in both clinical and organizational psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology.
He is a licensed psychologist in Florida, offering clinical psychology consulting locally and organizational psychology consulting internationally.
A prolific scholar, he researches both transpersonal topics and a wide array of issues across psychology and sociology. He is particularly interested in conducting high-quality scientific research in transpersonal topics and exposing poorly conducted studies across the sciences.
He has authored over 200 scholarly works, including publications in top-tier professional journals (such as five articles in American Psychologist), and more than a dozen books. His groundbreaking work is frequently featured in global media.
He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Association for Psychological Science (APS), and has received numerous awards, including the APA’s Abraham Maslow Award for lifetime contributions to expanding the frontiers of human knowledge and the Lifetime Career Award for Contributions to the Public Interest from the Florida Psychological Association.
He is a former president of the Association for Transpersonal Psychology, served as chair of the board of the International Transpersonal Association, and is currently Senior Editor of the International Journal of Transpersonal Studies and Associate Editor of The Humanistic Psychologist. He is also a founding member and one of three trustees of Alef Trust.
